Don't Look Now......

Will and his daddy were minding their own business working on the laptop computer when all of the sudden along came YOU KNOW WHO!!!
Will and Sam tried to ignore Thomas attacking them...........
Will finally realized what was going on and he looks a little surprised, to say the least!Sam did a good job holding onto Will for dear life!

Will's 1st "Food"

Tonight Will had his first experience eating cereal with a spoon. He's had it from a bottle for about 2 months, so the taste wasn't new to him. He did really well, right up to the end. I'm sure you can tell by the expression on his face in the last picture that he'd had enough!

Nice Try

Last night we were getting ready to go to church and I couldn't find my cell phone. Now, this is a regular occurrence because an un-named redhead tends to run off with it (I'm sure some of you reading this have received a few calls from him, in fact). Anyway, Thomas was in his room so I quizzed him as to where he put my phone and the kid actually knew what I was asking him. He led me to our bedroom and showed me my cell phone ~ he had placed it on the house phone charger! Playing with the phones is a no-no, however, I was impressed with the fact that he tried to put it up, even though it didn't quite fit. Thomas placed the correct phone on the charger and promptly ran off with my cell phone again!

Feeling Better

Sweet Will had a rough week, but as you can see he is feeling much better. He started feeling bad last Tuesday and he and I had a MISERABLE night. I gave him Tylenol at 9 and he never really fell asleep ~ I put him in his bed and after about 5 minutes he'd wake up crying. So I'd rock him, we'd watch TV, we'd surf the internet, etc... He would doze here and there but was really restless. At 1:30 I gave him more Tylenol and we rested on the couch. Around 2:30 I decided to take him temp because he felt HOT. I used an ear thermometer and it said 102.4!! I immediately woke Sam up and we took a rectal temp and it was 103.5!!! So while Sam had the doctor paged, I started packing a bag because I felt sure he'd send us to the ER. Well, the doctor said to give Will Ibuprofen and Pedilyte and bring him in first thing Wednesday morning. So at 3:30 Sam went to the all night grocery store and got Pedilyte and we started Will on it. The poor baby finally fell asleep in the swing about 5:45 am. Sam took him to the doctor and they tested for the flu and sure enough, it came back positive! So he put all 4 of us on Tamiflu and put Will on a cough medicine. I kept Thomas home from pre-school on Wednesday, just in case. So far the rest of us haven't had any symptoms, thank goodness. And Will seems to be all better. However, being sick has messed up his sleep cycle. He was occasionally sleeping all night but if he did wake up it was only once. Well, now he's back to waking up 2 times and it's about to wear mommy out! Once I know he's 100% better we're going to do some sleep training with the little guy!

Future Meteorologist?

Last night Thomas found the weather radio and thought it was pretty cool, as he does anything electronic. Will was sitting in his bouncy seat minding his own business when Weatherman Thomas let him listen to the radio. As you can see from Will's calm expression, we were not expecting any bad weather, thank goodness!

Catching Some ZZZZZZZ's

I got Thomas dressed and ready and he went to his room to watch Baby Einstein (what else??). After getting Will bathed and fed and dressed I went to check on Thomas and he had decided to take a little nap! That boy can sleep anywhere ~ except for in his bed!

Click HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE for some examples of his strange sleeping habits! And believe it or not, there are more examples than what I'm posting a link to!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Well, it looks like we've got a roller on our hands! Will actually rolled over a few times about a week ago but I didn't get a good video until yesterday. He can roll from his back to his tummy but then he's stuck, unless Thomas is there to help him, of course! In fact, when I put Will to bed last night I swaddled him up tight and put him on his back, as usual. When he woke up at 2 for a bottle and again this morning at 6 he was flopping around on his tummy, still swaddled up tight!

And please, no one call the Fashion Police on Thomas ~ I realize he's wearing a blue long john shirt, gray sweat pants, white socks and red Crocs. And the only part of this lovely outfit I can blame on him is the Crocs, the rest I picked out! But what you thankfully can't see is what Thomas' Mommy is wearing because it's eerily similar to his outfit ~ only with pink house shoes! Let's just say it was casual day here at the Stewardson house!

Self Portrait

Don't tell Dad, but Thomas got ahold of his digital camera this morning and was running through the house saying "cheese, cheese". Kinda reminds me of the "Funny Faces" post from a year and a half ago, but I was the photographer then!

Toys

Thomas had a great idea....... Instead of dumping the toys out of the toy box, why not climb in the toy box and play with them there. Much less of a mess to clean up!
We got Will a new Baby Einstein exersaucer (you know, because the kid doesn't have anything to play in). Guess who fell in love with the BOX it came in??
He even had fun playing IN the box! With only a few seconds of studying, Will figured out how to hit the buttons and make the music play. What a smart baby!

Dinner Party

While we were in the Metroplex we had dinner with one of my college friends and her family. Here are a couple of pictures. Mia Bernard and Thomas ~ they were waiting patiently for the big boys.Thomas, Mia and Brock Bernard, and Cade Leverett. Notice there isn't any food at the dinner party ~ yet! We didn't get any pictures after they were served their food, thank goodness!

Cousin Luke's 1st Birthday Party

We went to Cousin Luke's first birthday party this weekend. It doesn't seem like a year has gone by since he was born! Luke is such a cutie. Now that he's walking he won't have any trouble keeping up with Thomas and Gray!Somehow Ben and Amy avoided being covered in blue icing. Luke wasn't so lucky, but he sure had fun!Gray caught a ride from Uncle Sam. Luke, Jack and Thomas in the Bounce House.
Can anyone say "Double Trouble"? Nah, these boys are no trouble at all!
Jack gave all of the cousins matching hats ~ as you can see Will didn't mind wearing his at all! He also had a great time hanging out in Luke's exersaucer!
Here's a picture of all the boy cousins (Hilary's the only girl cousin!).
L to R: Thomas, Sam, Will, John, Jack, Joe, Gray, Ben and Luke
Thomas was worn out by the end of the party so he decided to lay in the floor and read a book!

Brother Time

Sweet Will thought he was getting some alone time on the floor with is toy ~ little did he know he wasn't going to be alone for long (notice the hand in the upper right corner of the picture!)
Yep, Thomas had to get in on the action! I helped Thomas get under the toy by his brother and they had a great time.
Thomas showed Will which buttons to push to make the lights come on and the music play. Looks to me like Thomas is a good teacher and Will is a good student!
Thomas ended things with a spontaneous hug for Will. No prompting from me, I promise! It was so sweet.

Snack or Toy?

The big boys finished off a can of nuts and Sam showed Thomas how to make a nice noisemaker by putting a golf ball in the can and shaking it. The poor kid doesn't have much rhythm, but he sure had fun and made LOTS of noise! He also found that it made a cool noise if you blew on the plastic lid. So much for the gifts Santa brought him!
