Not So Creepy Crawler!

Will is now an expert crawler and he is EVERYWHERE! For those of you who were wondering if Will was going to follow his brother's example on crawling click on the links below and see for yourself!

Sittin' with Sophia

Thomas had fun chasing Sophia around saying "Pia, m'on". (Which means "Sophia, come on") Believe me, "Pia" learned to move pretty fast!
After Sophia made her escape Thomas gave Will a tutorial on how to work Grandmother's cell phone. Will is a good listener!

Grandmother and Granddaddy's House

Thomas thought Grandmother might need some help giving Will his bottle.
He's actually very good at holding it ~ but he gets tired of it pretty quickly.
I guess Thomas thought Grandmother did a good job because he gave her a big hug and kiss before running off to play.
Granddaddy bought a new DVD player and Thomas had to make sure he installed it correctly!
Thomas, Granddaddy, Sophia and the remote. What more could you ask for?? Okay, add a Noah's Ark book and you're good to go!
Night, night Will!

Visiting Oklahoma

We traveled to Oklahoma last weekend to go to Grandmother's 50 year class reunion.
I got Thomas all clean and shiny so he'd look his best at the reunion. We stopped by to visit some of our cousins first and Thomas headed straight for a trailer of gravel. So much for showing up clean!
I have no idea why Will has this expression on his face ~ maybe he's mad because Thomas won't share his chips and balloons. Whatever the reason ~ I love it!
After LOTS of running around Thomas took a break in Granddaddy's lap. They shared a couple of peanut butter cookies and lemonade. Will and I enjoyed sitting on a quilt outside while Thomas ran around. I was able to grab him for a second to take a quick picture, but as usual he was squirming to get away!

Flying

The boys and I flew to Amarillo last Friday and I must say, they did GREAT on the airplane. I was very impressed, if I do say so myself! Thank goodness for the double stroller!
Will sat on Thomas' lap for about 30 seconds so I could get this picture. You can see my hand holding Will back because Thomas was trying to push him off of his lap! Will thought it was really cool to sit in a seat by himself ~ even if it was only for a minute! Thomas sang at the top of his lungs for most of the flight. Luckily we were sitting near the engine and most of the noise was drowned out by that!
Thomas loves looking out the window of the airplane ~ even if all he can see are clouds!
This is Thomas at 6 months when we flew from Austin to Amarillo.
Thomas at 9 months when we flew to LA for a wedding.

The Boys and Baby Cake

We were lucky enough to get to spend the night with our friends Codie and Angie at their "vacation" home in Ft. Worth. They have a 4 week old daughter named Cate, but Thomas calls her "Baby Cake". Both of my boys were fascinated with her ~ Beware of the Stewardson Boys, Cate!!Will on the lookout ~ he wanted to make sure he had Cate all to himself! All clear! He had fun rocking her carseat. And luckily she didn't mind too much.

Thomas was so sweet about giving Cate pat pats (which he calls "pap pap"). She never even woke up!

Last Day of Pre-School

Thomas is out for the summer! He had a great year at pre-school and learned sooooo much. He knows the "usual" animal sounds (dog, cat, cow, duck, etc...) He knows how to count to 10. Like this: 1~2~3~5~8~9~10! Yea! So he's missing the 4~6 and 7, he's got to have something to learn next year.
The teacher weighed and measured Thomas at the beginning of the year and he grew "up" quite a bit:
Sept '07 ~ Height 32 inches, weight 25 1/2 lbs
May '08 ~ Height 35 inches, weight 27 lbs
Seems like just yesterday he was starting the year off!!

Thomas LOVED his teacher, Miss Jennifer. She deserves a medal!!
One more trip down the slide ~ his favorite "subject"!!

It's a Bird......... It's a Plane...........

It's SUPER THOMAS!!! All decked out in his hand-me-down Superman PJ's, Crocs, and sweeeet BMW! First Super Thomas rounded the kitchen table in search of bad guys.
None to the right ~ unless they are really funny looking.
None to the left, either!
So on down the road looking for more adventures!

Splash Day

Today was "Splash Day" at Thomas' pre school. He seemed to have fun going from station to station.First, the water guns ~ he couldn't quite figure out how they worked (which is fine with me!)Then off to the slip-n-slide. Thomas was very cautious and didn't actually slip OR slide.
Thomas had fun at the bubble station even though it was too windy to get very many bubbles.
Sidewalk chalk: Thomas banging a piece of chalk to make about 100 little dots.
But his favorite thing? Popsicles, of course!
He even tried to share his Popsicle with Will. Sweet brother! Is this not the biggest smile you've ever seen!?! I love it!!

Q-tip, Anyone?

I learned something thanks to my dear son Thomas. The Q-tip box should have a label that says "Keep out of reach of children". Not because they are poisonous, but because they are a PAIN to pick up! I was in Will's room with him and I THOUGHT Thomas was in his room playing with his toys. Well, apparently he'd made a detour on the way to his room and grabbed a new box of 500 Q-tips out of the bathroom. When I walked in his room I was immediately reminded of the scene in "Rainman" where the toothpicks fall all over the floor. What else can you do but take a picture and then start picking up!
Now that this little guy is crawling he tends to head for the floor lamp in the living room. I see lots of "No, No's" in his future!

T & Will

Warning:
This video is pretty long and potentially boring unless you're a grandparent (more specifically, T and Will's grandparents)!

Mother's Day 2008

We had a nice, relaxing Mother's Day this year. I am so blessed to have 2 of the sweetest boys in the world!
Look back on Mother's Day 2006 ~ 2007 to see how Thomas has changed!

The Boys

The Stewardson clan is in Abilene for Uncle Joe's graduation this weekend and the 3 big boys sure had fun running around (and around and around).

One little monkey running around.............
Two little monkeys running around........................ All three little monkeys running around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now for the group picture. In case anyone is wondering, Gray is on the far left and Luke is on the far right. The two boys in the middle wearing stripes and HUGE smiles are Thomas and Will! (Anyone detect any sarcasm from mom??)

After dinner we went back to Gray's house so the kids could run and play some more. Well, I guess Will wasn't happy sitting back watching because he took off crawling ~ totally out of the blue! He's gotten on his hands and knees a few times but never went anywhere until tonight. Look out ~ there's no stopping him now!!
