Stewardson Family Reunion

This past weekend we attended the 100th Stewardson Family reunion in Santa Anna. Top row: Linda, Ann, Ben, Tom, Sam. Middle row: Amy, Luke, Beverly, Laura, Will (sorta!), Thomas. Bottom row: Meridith, Joe, Gray and Hilary.
Here's a picture of Thomas III, Thomas IV, and Thomas II ~ in that order!
The Stewardson Men! Ben, Luke, Gray, Joe, Tom, Thomas and Sam. Aren't they handsome!
Here's Sam trying to keep Luke from stealing the tablecloth while Thomas enjoyes eating a plastic spoon!

I think he looks pretty good holding 2 little boys! It was good practice for days to come!

Silly Thomas

Thomas Gives Up

For those of you that might not be aware of Thomas' sleeping problems this won't be quite as funny as it is to those that know the history. By no fault of his own, Thomas has not been the easiest boy to get down for bedtime or naptime. Due mainly to his mother rocking him to sleep his whole life! Well, for the past 2 weeks we've been really strict about the bedtime routine: Read stories, say prayers, sing the "Goodnight Thomas" song and then to bed. He cried for less than 10 minutes the first few nights and then all of the sudden ~ silence! So now I've started the same routine at naptime (yes, he's been taking a nap, but on the couch ~ not in his crib). So today when I put him down he cried for 14 minutes and in that time he turned the light on and off about 72 times! Time to scoot the crib down, I guess. Anyway, I could see under the door that he'd left the light on so I quietly opened the door to turn off the light and this is what I saw:

Yes, my precious little boy is sound asleep in the sitting position! He must have worn himself out crying and just given up. His head is resting on the bumper pad in the corner of his crib. Poor baby! I just hope he's not sore when he wakes up!

Real Swimming Pool!!!

We bought Thomas a "real" swimming pool and he loves playing in it. Cousin Gray was in town and he came over to play.
Gray has a toy truck that he's playing with and Thomas decided to check it out.

Now Thomas decided to take it away from Gray! (Notice the naughty look on Thomas' face!)
Looks like Gray wasn't to happy about Thomas trying to take his truck! I don't blame him. (Notice the "who, me?" look on Thomas' face!)Sam gave Thomas the water hose to play with and that seemed to take his mind off of stealing Gray's truck!

4th of July 2007

Here are a few pictures I took on the 4th of July. I tried to re-create the picture from last year, but as you can see Thomas has gone from chillin' out in the swing (bottom picture) to a wild man wanting to go higher and faster! Last year on the 4th Thomas cut his first 2 teeth and as you can see he now has a mouth full. His 13th and 14th teeth just came in this week. He's growing fast!

Lake Pictures

Sam was trying to watch something on TV and Thomas was trying to distract him. Thomas is a pretty fun distraction, though!
Thomas and Sam were actually IN the lake AND on the yard! Since we've had so much rain the lake has risen comes about 10 - 15 feet into the yard.
Thomas and Sam decided to venture out in the paddle boat!

Love that Cupcake!

GG brought some cupcakes for dessert and Thomas wasn't sure what to think at first. But after some help from his dad he decided the icing was his favorite part! And I happen to agree with him about that.

3 Little Monkeys

The good thing about digital cameras ~ you can take as many pictures as you need to and delete the bad ones and keep the good ones. Well, I couldn't make myself delete any of these pictures because at least one of the kids looks good in at least one of the pictures! Well, maybe Thomas doesn't look good in any of them, but he does have that pouty look down pretty good, don't you think??

Fun with Friends

Thomas and I went down to Houston this past weekend to visit two of my college roommates and their families. The kids had a great time playing and the moms had a great time visiting! Calloway Bills (3 1/2), Sarah Schulze (2) and Thomas (17 mts). As you can see, Calloway was interested in watching the movie and Sarah was very proud of her ponies. Thomas was just trying to figure out how to get off of the couch so he could run around!
Sara Margaret Bills (7 1/2), Anna (almost 7) Daniel (8) and Rachel (5) Schulze. Now these kids know how to pose!!
Now it's Thomas' turn to be watching a movie while Calloway flashes his best "cheesy" smile!

Water Hose Bath

Thomas thought his daddy might need some help washing off the lawnmower. However, it looks like Thomas got more of a bath than he was expecting!
Thomas was able to help alot more once he got his hands on the hose!
