One Short Year

It was one short year ago today that I had a surprise for Sam when he came home for lunch.
Sam, Thomas and I kept the surprise a secret for 6 weeks! The weekend of Thomas' birthday we made the announcement to our families and friends. Thomas was proud of his first "Big Brother" shirt.About 10 weeks after making the announcement we had a sonogram and found out that we were expecting another boy! We were sooooo excited and couldn't wait to meet Will Davis Stewardson.
After waiting another 20 LONG weeks, he made his arrival on September 4th. Our beautiful baby boy was finally here!
And look how precious he is today, one year after learning of his existence. We are so blessed to have such sweet boys!

Will's First Haircut

Well, I decided it was finally time to get Will a haircut. Will is a month older than Thomas was when he got his first haircut. Here are a few pictures of the big event. A couple of before shots. Will waited patiently for his turn.
Say goodbye to the mohawk.I guess Will thought the cape might taste good. The water in that squirt bottle was cold! The final product! I do believe Will looks even more handsome than ever!

Thomas' "Blankie??"

If you have spent any amount of time with Thomas then you've probably noticed his fascination (I hesitate to use the word "obsession") with all things Baby Einstein. He likes the books, empty CD cases and especially the empty DVD cases. He looks at them and "reads" the pamphlets that come in them. In fact, that's what I usually pack in his church bag because it will keep him occupied for several minutes at a time (and that's saying a lot with this boy!) Anyway, lately if he's carrying one around and it's nap time or bedtime he takes them to bed with him. I snapped this shot of him sleeping with the "Lullaby Time" case. Very appropriate, isn't it?? P.S. If any of you moms out there have extra empty cases lying around send them our way! We're down to only about 3 ~ somehow they keep getting lost! THANKS!!

Laughing Too Hard??

I don't know if you can tell, but Thomas' lap is WET. And no, it's not what you think. He was drinking his CapriSun and he squeezed it and it spilled on him. And for some reason he thought it was really funny! (Please no comments on Thomas' choice of shoes ~ he insisted on wearing his red Crocs this morning.)

Autographed Pictures

Honey and Paw Paw got Thomas and Will autographed pictures of Graham Harrell, the quarterback at Texas Tech. I think Sam was more excited than the boys were! Luke and Gray got autographed pictures of Colt McCoy because their dads are UT fans. Very cool gift!!

Ornaments

Here are a few ornaments that document the first 3 years of the Sam Stewardson Family.
In 2005 we have 2 ornaments ~ "Our First Christmas" AND "Great Expectations"! It was a busy year!
In 2006 we added Thomas Samuel Stewardson IV to the family tree.
And in 2007 our family grew by one more: Will Davis Stewardson. We are all very blessed to have each other as well as our wonderful extended families!!

Will's Turn

Will finally woke up and joined us in the living room. Thomas was so excited to see him and tell him about all of his goodies. He gave his little brother a big hug and then helped him open his gifts.Santa brought Will a teething ring, which I'm sure will come in handy very soon! Santa also brought Will a toy for his car seat, a Noah's Ark pop up toy and some blocks. I just hope Thomas doesn't wear them out before Will is actually old enough to play with them! hee hee!
Will did get a chance to check out the Noah's Ark toy while he was swinging. I think he's more interested in his hands............

Santa Came!!

Christmas Eve at Great-grandmother's house. We had to hurry home so the boys could go to sleep before Santa came to our house! Sure enough, Santa came to see Will and Thomas because they were such good boys this year! Here are a few pictures:Thomas wasn't too sure what to think at first so mommy carried him into the living room to check things out. Will was still asleep so he joined us later.Santa brought the boys a tent that looks like a barn! Thomas had a great time going in and out and playing peek-a-boo. A new Baby Einstein book that plays really loud music ~ Santa, what were you thinking?? Santa also brought Thomas some counting maracas. He loves them, of course, because they make lots of noise! It looks like he might be using them as a microphone, too!
And finally, Thomas got his very own laptop! Maybe this will encourage him to keep his chubby little hands off of his dad's REAL laptop! I wish...........

Let's Go For A Ride!

Grandmother and Granddaddy (Laura's parents) got Thomas this fun Inch Worm to ride around on. He loves riding on it ~ especially to chase Mommy down the hall!
Honey and Paw Paw (Sam's parents) bought the 4 grandsons this Gator to keep at their house. The boys sure did have a fun time driving around ~ with plenty of adult supervision!
And finally, Honey and Paw Paw bought this Radio Flyer wagon for Thomas and Will. Luke had fun riding in it while Thomas and Gray pulled him along with the Gator!
FYI: Will didn't get to go outside and join the fun because it was too cold and windy. So I propped him up on couch and he had fun admiring the new clock Do Do bought him!
