Silly Skeleton

When Thomas woke up from his nap this afternoon he had the funniest sideways Mohawk I've ever seen! I cracked up as soon as he walked out of his room. I stood him up against the wall and took some pictures. I'm sure he was wondering what was so funny! Thomas was still yawning............
And stretching after waking up from his nap.
I told Thomas to say "cheese" and for the first time EVER he actually smiled when he said "cheese"! What a milestone!
And finally, a "deer in the headlights" smile!

A C U Homecoming 2008

We went to Abilene last weekend for my 15 year class reunion (and yes, I am old!) Here are a few pictures:
Oh yea! Another petting zoo!
This time Will was actually big enough to pet the animals and not be stuck in the stroller.
I'm not sure he knew what to think!

Look who Thomas found ~ it's Gray!

The big boys had fun running around and playing with their glo sticks.
BIG HUGS! It's time to go and get rested for the parade!

Will all decked out in his ACU hoodie. He looked so cute!Thomas was on the run in his purple and white! The view is always better from Daddy's shoulders.Daddy tried to teach Thomas the "parade wave". This is one of my absolute favorite pictures!

Will was worn out, but he had a tight grip on his balloon!

Misunderstood

Last night before bed I plopped the boys in the rocking chair wearing their new space PJ's. I was attempting to get a cute brotherly love photo. I specifically told Thomas to "Give Will a hug." Apparently he misunderstood me and thought I said to "Put Will in a headlock." I've said many times around here that there's a fine line between a hug and a headlock. Looks like Thomas crossed the line! Luckily Will survived the headlock unharmed. However, I'm pretty sure he thinks his brother is a little on the loony side! This morning when we went in to get Will he was in the silliest mood (maybe from the loss of oxygen from the headlock last night.) Anyway, he kept jumping up and down in his bed and sticking his tongue out. It cracks me up! Maybe the kid has a future in a hard rock band!

Love Those Mums ~ or Maybe Not!

Cute picture of Will surrounded by mums. His tongue is sticking out, as usual, but cute anyway! What could be better than this? A picture of both boys in the mums, right?

Not so much. Thomas was NOT thrilled with the flowers, which is unusual. He usually wants to smell anything that even resembles a flower (dandelions included!). Anyway, when we put Thomas next his brother he shoved poor Will down trying to get away!

Lookin' at the Fish

Thomas and Will loved looking at all of the goldfish in the tank. There wasn't any food to feed the fish so I think they dropped a few rocks in there. Wasn't that sweet of them!

Pumpkin Time 2008

This is a very rare picture of Thomas ~ he is smiling and it's genuine! Will was daydreaming in the pile of pumpkins. Will decided to use Thomas as an armrest. Luckily Thomas didn't seem to mind! Enough pumpkin time for Thomas ~ he climbed down and ran off.
And was followed shortly by his "shadow" Will!

Here are some pictures of Thomas in the "Great Pumpkin" his first fall. I can't believe he was ever that little!

Does Time Out Really Work?

I put Thomas in time out this morning because, and I quote, "I push Will." After a minute or so I went to check in on him and this is what I saw: Yep, he was reading a 1980's version of Childcraft Encyclopedia that some friends from chruch gave us.
When he saw me he opened the book and said "Say cheese, book!"
Then he closed the book and said "The End." Okay, so maybe time out isn't the proper place to be reading the encyclopedia, but it did remove him from the "Push Will" situation.

And by the looks of Will sticking out his tongue, I don't think he cared whether Thomas was reading or not.
He was just happy to have the Escalade all to himself!!!

Can You Hold, Please?

I put the boys down for a nap about 10 minutes ago and went to look in on them to make sure they were both asleep. It looks like Thomas fell asleep making some important afternoon phone calls! After taking the picture I took the phone out of his bed because it plays LOUD music and I can just see him rolling over on it and waking himself up. That would be BAD! And I'm not sure what the deal is with me dressing my boys in orange the past 3 days in a row. I must be in a pumpkin mood!

Will's Walking...

As much as I was dreading AND looking forward to this day, it looks like it's here. As you can see, Will still prefers to crawl, but he CAN walk if he chooses to. Will is 1 week older than Thomas was when he started walking!

Party Time

We spent our Saturday night at Baby Cate's grandparent's house. They had an Elvis themed party. Here are a few pictures: Thomas danced to several Elvis songs. Okay, maybe it was more like "Thomas ran around in circles waving streamers" to several Elvis songs!
After all that "dancing" Thomas needed to refuel. Good ole' saltine crackers did the trick.
Dad and Will enjoyed the concert, too. Look closely and you can see a cutout of Elvis to the right of the picture. Or is that the ghost of Elvis?
Will with his Elvis party hat. He seriously loved the concert! You can see the "real" Elvis on the stage in this picture.
Sam and Cate ~ look how sweet she's being! Codie (Cate's dad) and Thomas and Will. I think he's glad to have a sweet baby girl after trying to wrestle the Stewardson boys for a picture! The evening was winding down and Thomas and Will were beginning to get tired. Going to an Elvis party takes alot out of you!
And finally, a new family picture! At least one of us is smiling ~ none of the boys were in the mood to have their picture taken but I insisted. That'll teach me, won't it??
