Afternoon in Abilene

We went to Abilene to have the car serviced and met up with Gray (and Joe and Meridith) for dinner. The boys had a great time throwing rocks into the pond outside of the restaurant ~ but I don't think the fish residing in the pool were too thrilled!
After dinner we went over to the A C U campus and let the boys run and play. They had fun climbing on the bicycle racks.......
Picking some of the many purple flowers.........
Playing by the G A T A Fountain.........
Posing next to the shrubs that spelled out "Wildcats". We had to get a picture of Will by the "W" and Thomas by the "T".............

Both boys seem to have had a bad case of the sillies on the way home!

Thomas's New Hamster

As I mentioned before, I was out of town the other night. GG (Great Grandmother) and I went to Temple and spent the night because she had 4 doctor's appointments the next day. The hotel where we stayed gave out free Web Kinz stuffed animals. We were able to get 2 hamsters ~ one for each kid. When I went to check on Thomas at naptime this is what I saw:
Sound asleep with his hamster right beside him!

Swimming with Sampson

Mom was out of town the other night so the boys had the run of the backyard. Dad filled up the pool and Thomas and Will had a great time swimming. The video was taken with Sam's phone, so it's not the best quality.

Dad decided to invite the neighbor's dog Sampson (formerly our dog) over for a swim and all 3 of them loved playing in the water.

Sampson getting his feet wet!It looks like the boys weren't quite sure about sharing their pool at first. But it didn't take long for them to carry on as if there weren't a 100+ pound black lab in the middle of the pool!
And Sampson was right at home!
Will gave Sampson a quick hug before he had to go home!

4th of July 2009

Thomas (3 1/2 years old)
Here are the traditional "Boys in the swing on the 4th of July pictures (a little late)!" Thomas bit his tongue and wanted to show me his boo boo. Looks okay to me!

Will (22 months)
And of course, since Thomas stuck out his tongue, Will had to do the same! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

Playing at Grandmother and Granddaddy's

After church on Sunday we encouraged the boys to run run run before we put them in the car for the drive home. They love playing "Ready, Set, Go!"
An attempt at getting a picture of mom and the boys. They weren't happy having to stop their running game!

Grandmother and Granddaddy did a pretty good job at holding onto the two wiggly boys! They're a handful!Thomas in the tree ~ he thought it was pretty fun!
I asked Will what a monkey says and he gave me his best monkey face!
And a big ole smile!!

Hereford on the 4th of July

The boys and I were in Hereford all last week and Sam drove up on Friday to join us. My 20 year class reunion festivities were Friday and Saturday night. Saturday morning we went to the 4th of July parade ~ the boys had a fun time.

After the parade we drove around the local car dealership parking lot (Sam's favorite hobby). We the boys on one of the Hereford Cow statues for a photo op and as you can see, Will liked sitting on the cow much more than Thomas did!
