Tired Thomas

Sweet Thomas fell asleep in his high chair ~ again! Luckily Sam was able to get him from the high chair to his bed without waking him up. (We didn't brush his teeth before putting him to bed tonight ~ Sorry Grandpa Tom!!)

Helping Daddy

Sam put together Thomas' birthday present last night and Thomas decided to help. He was very good at reading the instructions and putting all of the parts in his mouth. And as you can see, he was also very interested in checking out the box that the toy came in! Now we're going to have to find somewhere to hide his gift and hope he forgets what it is by next week when we have his party!
(By the way, Thomas is feeling MUCH better! And after 3 days of looking like the victim of a paintball attack ~ or so Aunt Hilary thought ~ he is practically spot-free!! We appreciate all the comments, e mails and calls!!)

Seeing Spots

Well, Thomas is doing much better as far as the bad diapers and throwing up are concerned, but last night he had lots of tiny pin-size red spots covering his body. I talked to our pediatrician (who happens to be a friend, thank goodness) and he said the spots were caused by the viral infection and not to worry about them. Easy for him to say! But I took his advice and we put Thomas to bed a little early and he slept until about 6 this morning. When I unzipped his PJ's to change his diaper I saw that he was covered in HUGE red spots. Needless to say, Sam and I were at the doctor's office with Thomas when they opened up so the doc could see the spots first hand. Upon seeing my poor spotted son, the doctor smiled and said, "Yep, that's normal for the kind of infection Thomas has. It just has to run its course." I, of course, was wanting a magic cream to put on him to make the spots go away, but there isn't anything I can do! What a helpless feeling! Luckily Thomas hasn't been bothered by the spots (I'm bothered enough for both of us!!) He has been a little cranky, but not too bad. Hopefully they will go away in the next day or so.......

Sleepy Little Boy

Poor Thomas hasn't felt very well the past couple of days. Last night his supper consisted of saltine crackers and Bubble Gum flavored Pedialyte. I was in the kitchen and looked over to the high chair to check on him and this is what I saw:

Sleep-over at Oliver's "house"??

It seems Oliver invited Thomas over to his "house" for a visit last night. And believe it or not, Thomas went right on in and made himself at home! These 2 make quite a pair. However, Thomas always seems to have scratches on his little hands and ears where Oliver likes to chew with his sharp little teeth!

Snow Day

We woke up this morning to find the town of Brownwood covered in snow! Luckily it was Sam's day off so the three of us have enjoyed hanging out together. I didn't want to put Thomas right in the snow so I put him in this bucket for a picture. Unfortunately right after the picture was taken he fell face forward into the snow! He didn't cry, though, he just looked at me as if I were crazy!

Hangin' Out (Literally) with Do Do

Do Do thought it would be fun to hang Thomas upside down and swing him. He LOVED it, but I'm afraid he might catch a cold if she does it very often!

Meet Cousin Luke Bennett Stewardson

Thomas has a new baby cousin! Uncle Ben and Aunt Amy have a new son, Luke Bennett Stewardson, born January 11, 2007. He was 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. As you can see, Thomas was curious to meet Luke, but a little hesitant, too! These boys sure are going to have lots of fun in the future!

Splish Splash

Thomas had a great time in the bathtub last night. He started off with Oliver there to supervise and ended up being drenched by his dad, and he loved every minute of it! Bathtime is fun at Thomas' house!

Cousin Gray's Birthday Party

Thomas had a great time at Gray's first birthday party. He was very curious about the colorful birthday cake and Gray was nice enough to share! I just hope Thomas remembers to share next month!

Visiting Kaitlin and Kamron

Thomas and I spent a few days in Lubbock this past week and he got to play with his cousins. As you can see, Kamron and Thomas weren't too interested in having their pictures taken.... Oh well, at least Kaitlin was all smiles!
