Playing in PJ's

The boys spend most of the day in their PJ's, but that didn't stop them from getting outside and playing!
The look of determination on Thomas's face cracks me up! My little rebel ~

The boys LOVE jumping on the trampoline. I had to take these pictures from inside the house because every time I go outside to watch them they end up fussing. If they don't know I'm watching they get along just fine!

Thomas's 5th Birthday Party

These are the actual cupcakes I bought for Thomas's birthday party. He loves red velvet cake and the only ones we could find already had Valentine decorations on top. Sooooo, I decided to remove the rings and add my own decorations on top!
Plastic bugs are much more appropriate for a 5 year old boy's cupcakes, aren't they?
Here they are ~ ready to be served.

All of the kids waited patiently for the candle to be lit and the birthday song to be sung so they could dig in!
Thomas and Will look absolutely THRILLED, don't they?
Taking a deep breath to blow out the candle...........
There's a smile!
Cate, Holden, Thomas and Will

Thomas got lots of fun presents from his friends and family. He's a lucky little boy!
And what party is complete without a picture of Thomas and his best friend Allie? She gave him a Sonic gift card and he was soooooo excited!
Thomas did NOT want me to take his picture riding his bicycle. Too bad ~ I did anyway!

I love these boys ~ even their forced, fake smiles!!

Pre-School Birthday

The week leading up to Thomas's birthday was a VERY cold week. In fact, school was cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday. We had a late start on Thursday and when we woke up on Friday (T's birthday) it had snowed again! So school was cancelled for a 3rd day that week. However, the boy's pre-school/daycare was open anyway and the boys were ready to see their friends so I bundled them up and off we went! Will was not thrilled about posing for a picture in the 10 degree weather!
The birthday boy, on the other hand, was more than happy to show me his biggest and cheesiest smile!
At lunchtime I took cupcakes up for Thomas and his friends. He was very serious while everyone was singing Happy Birthday.
Blowing out the candle!
Almost got a smile.........
Will was pleased to have his favorite dessert ~ cupcakes!
They were just a little messy, though.

My sweet boys!
After school the boys went back to Thomas's bedroom to watch Toy Story 3 ~ or so I thought! When I went to get them for supper I found Thomas sound asleep! It's tough being 5!

The Faces of a 5 Year Old

It's hard to believe, but Thomas Samuel IV is 5 years old today. Thomas is the sweetest, silliest, smartest and most handsome 5 year old that I know. We love you very much and can't wait to see what is in store for you (and us!) in the next 5 years!!

Snow Day = Powdered Donuts

We have had no school for the past 2 days. They are officially called snow days, but it's more like ice days! I'm not sure Thomas REALLY needs to be wearing his sunglasses, but he sure does look cute! Will looks a little guilty. Maybe because he finished off the entire bag of donuts by himself!
