The Stewardson Cousins

The boys did a good job posing in the bluebonnets while the crazy adults snapped pictures. Finally Gray had had enough (and who could blame him?) so he took off!!

Thomas' cousins were in town this weekend and we all went out to the lake to see Great Grandmother and RT. The big boys had a good time playing outside. Uncle Joe (Gray's dad) took them for a wagon ride. And if the ride stopped the boys both protested!
Thomas was very interested in Luke's frog toy. He took it for a second but was very sweet to give it back to Luke. If you notice, Thomas has a pacifier clipped to his shirt. That pacifier belongs to Gray but since Thomas always tries to take it from him, Aunt Hilary clipped it on Thomas' shirt. He walked around with it and would chew on it every now and then. Crazy kid!

Exciting Shopping Trip

Thomas and I went to our local Supercenter to do a little grocery shopping. Well, Thomas didn't make it too long before nodding off. At first I though he was just chewing on the shopping cart cover, but after a few minutes I squatted down and saw that he was sound asleep. So I turned his head to make things a little more comfortable. I must admit, I was able to get my shopping done a lot faster while he was sleeping!

Introducing Will Davis Stewardson!!!

We had a sonogram today and found out that we are having a baby boy! I know it's hard to tell from the picture, but he is just precious! We are naming the baby Will (after Laura's father's father) Davis (after Laura's mother's maiden name). Everything looked good on the sonogram. All of Will's parts were there and where they should be! We are thrilled to be having another boy ~ but I'm not sure it's sunk in with Thomas yet!

Fun at Honey and Paw Paw's House

Sam and I went to Odessa for a Funeral Director's meeting and Thomas spent the night with Honey and Paw Paw. He seemed to have a great time! Here's a picture of Thomas helping Paw Paw surf the internet.
And here he is watching cartoons (notice the cell phone in his hand, just in case he needs to make some calls, I guess!)And here's sweet Thomas taking a nap ~ I'm sure Honey read this book to him as a hint for him to take a LONG nap!

Thomas Learns to "TP"

I was in the kitchen unloading the dishwasher and I THOUGHT Thomas was in his room watching Baby Einstein or playing or reading quietly, like the good little boy he is. Well, I was WRONG! I headed to his room to check on him and this is what I saw in the hallway: A trail of toilet paper leading from the bathroom in our room (back right of the picture) into Thomas' room (front left of the picture).
After grabbing the camera (of course!!) I headed to Thomas' room and was greeted by this sweet little face! I guess it wasn't enough to unroll all of the toilet paper, he had to taste it, too! I'm just gald I got there before he had a chance to "wrap" his crib! Lesson for Mommy: Don't forget to shut the bathroom doors!!!

Oh Where Is My Hairbrush??

One of Thomas' favorite things to do lately is steal my hairbrushes. He doesn't get many chances to do it because we're pretty good at keeping the bathroom doors shut. But if I'm getting ready he'll sneak in there and run off with one or sometimes both of my hairbrushes. So today I decided to plop him on the bathroom counter while I was getting ready. I think he likes them because when he bangs them they make a really loud noise.

As far as the hair goes..... He must have had a rough night because that's the hairdo he woke up with. It reminds me of the spiked look Aunt Hilary always gives him, but Mother Nature gets all the credit this time!

Blubonnets Part II

We gave the bluebonnet pictures another try and I think Thomas did a little better this time. At least he was looking in the general direction of the camera!

Read, Read, Read

Going, Going, Gone..........

Notice what the bib says! It definitely wasn't planned (especially since Thomas still resists wearing a bib), but I thought it ended up being very appropriate!

Happy Easter!

Thomas got all dressed up for Easter, but he didn't get to wear the outfit that I originally bought for him to wear. I guess that's what I get for buying an Easter outfit in October! Who would've guessed it would snow on Easter weekend! After Church Sam and I took Thomas to visit the bluebonnets and hopefully get some good pictures. As you can see, he was MUCH more interested in the bluebonnets than he was looking at the camera!

Aunt Hilary bought Thomas these bunny ears last year and I decided to make a tradition of taking his picture wearing the ears every year that he will let me. He's changed a little bit in the past year, hasn't he??

Snowing Again!

Well, here it is, the day before Easter and snow is coming down like crazy! Thomas thought it was fun to walk around in the snow, but it sure was cold!!

And he's OUT.......

Thomas has had a rough several days ~ he's not wanting to nap ~ AT ALL! Oh, he goes to sleep just fine, but when I lay him down in his bed he wakes right up and cries and cries and cries. And when that doesn't work, he just yells and yells and yells. The longest I've been able to stand it is about 1 1/2 hours. I've been the one to cave in, not him! Well, last night we were on the couch watching the 6:00 news and the poor guy finally fell asleep ~ but just long enough for me to get up and take a picture. When he realized I wasn't by his side he woke right up! He goes to bed at night okay, just not at naptime. Any suggestions??

We had pictures taken together and some of Thomas by himself for his first birthday. My favorites are the ones outside. We haven't ordered any yet..... I can't decide which one of Thomas by himself I like best!

Reading to Oliver

Lately Thomas has really started liking to "read" books. Today he was reading to Oliver ~ for a few minutes, at least! Then they decided to play for a little while instead.






But as you can see, Thomas isn't afriad to give Oliver a little shove when he's had enough play time!
