Breathing Lessons

Thomas took swim lessons last week but he really didn't work on swimming. First he had to learn how to hold his breath underwater. Which, by the way, is a pretty important skill to have when swimming! He has a few more lessons next week so be watching for more video or pictures!

Barney the Babysitter

Okay, so Barney isn't a REAL babysitter, but he is somewhat entertaining to the pre-school crowd in my house. I don't mind a little purple dinosaur time, especially because I was able to take a shower AND dry my hair without 1 or 2 little "helpers"!

Smile Practice

Thomas and Will spent the afternoon playing in the sprinklers and I attempted to get a picture of both of them smiling ~ when will I learn?? Thomas has the "cheese" smile down great. However, when I tell Will to say "cheese" he just looks confused. In this picture Thomas didn't want to share the spotlight with his brother. Scoot back, Will! Will came in for a closer look at the camera.
He just can't quite figure out what Thomas is smiling about!
Oh, no! Mom said those 5 awful words: Give your brother a hug!

Whew, Will survived another hug/headlock from Thomas!
Will trying to reach the camera ~ he wasn't quite tall enough.
And one last look at Thomas and his big cheesy grin! Love these boys!

Will at Play

Thomas got his hands on my camera (once again!) and followed Will around outside. The pictures are in the exact order that they were on the camera. It's not easy to keep up with the little guy, but Thomas did a pretty good job! Look closely at the first picture ~ Will is on the far left in front of the riding lawn mower. And, yes, he is in his pajamas!

Relay for Life 2009

The whole Stewardson family participated in Relay for Life this weekend.  Our friend Lisa Benton organized a team called "Bev's Bunch" in memory of Beverly.  We had several fund raisers in the past few weeks and were able to raise several thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society.  The theme this year was Christmas and the back of our shirts said "Jingle all the way to a Cure".  Thomas and Will were anxious to hit the track and walk a few laps.I asked them to say "cheese" before they took off.  Thomas was actually happy to cooperate.  Will, on the other hand, seemed to have an itchy nose! And they're off!  Paw Paw, Daddy, Will and ThomasWill took a break to sit with Mark and get some tips on how to play video games.  And then Thomas climbed in Marks lap and helped himself to some Skittles!Next Thomas hung out with Josh for a little bit.

Finally, he stopped by to visit with Paw Paw.
Will enjoyed watching all of the walkers/runners that were on the track.

The family Sam, Laura, Will and Thomas
Did I mention cousins Gray and Luke (and their parents) were there, too?  They had fun pushing Thomas and Will in the stroller.  Thankfully Uncle Ben was close by to supervise!
Thomas with yet another "cheesy" smile!
Gray was sweet to share his chips with Thomas ~ which was good because I have a feeling Thomas would've helped himself anyway!
Thomas and his sweet friend Allie ~ these two are quite a pair!
Here's Allie's attempt at getting Thomas and Will to take a picture with her ~ not much luck, huh?
Thomas helped Paw Paw carry the spirit stick during the luminary ceremony.
Will was very tired by the time the night was over so Daddy gave him a ride around the track.  It was a nice night and a wonderful way to honor loved ones who have lost their battle with cancer, as well as those who continue to fight.
