Beautiful Scenery

Checking out Camp Blue Haven

When we arrived at Camp Blue Haven for the 50 year reunion it was cold and wet, but that didn't slow Thomas down a bit! He spend most of his time picking up rock after rock after rock. He could usually be found with a rock clutched in each hand! Sam decided to teach Thomas how to throw rocks. A good skill to have at camp when you're throwing them in the creek ~ not a good skill to have in a few years on the playground!
After a busy day of exploring, Thomas was wiped out (and so were his parents)! Notice the basically smooth complexion on the sweet boy's face. It won't be that way for long!

At the Airport

Being good travelers, we arrived at the airport about 1 1/2 hours early. However, the storms with lots of rain and lightening arrived about 30 minutes later, which delayed our flight (and every other flight in the airport). So much for timing our flight around Thomas' nap time. However, he did get a good 2 1/2 hour nap while we were waiting for our plane to arrive! About half of the time he slept in his carry-on chair and the other half of the time he slept on mommy's lap using his little brother as a pillow! We finally made it out of Dallas and into Albq around 10 pm instead of the original arrival time of 5 pm. What a way to start a vacation!

Lunch with Luke

Before going to the airport to begin our family vacation we ate lunch with Uncle Ben, Aunt Amy and Luke. Thomas tried to share his sippy cup and then decided to check and see if Luke had any teeth coming in. They seemed to be having fun until the last picture ~ I'm not sure what went wrong!

We have a Climber!

Thomas has never shown any interest in climbing until yesterday. And it's as if he woke up from his nap and decided to climb on everything. I was sitting at the computer and looked over and saw him standing on his toy. I had my camera right by me so I got a picture of him walking from the toy to the dining room chair.
Then after supper I was at the sink and looked down to see Thomas helping himself to his spoons out of the dishwasher! I guess I'll have to be careful so shut the dishwasher door just like I'm careful to shut the bathroom door!

Dog Pile?

I kept Thomas' friends Blaize, Slayde and Trey yesterday morning and boy did these guys have fun! I put a question mark on "Dog Pile" becuase considering the fact that the oldest boy is 4 I should probaby call this a "Puppy Pile"!!!

E L V I S is in the House!

Thomas' Uncle Eric went to Memphis on a business trip and brought back these "authentic" Elvis glasses. Thomas thinks he's pretty cool. He will walk around the house with them on for a few minutes and then take them off. Then he'll run over to Sam or I to help him put them back on. We may have a rock star on our hands!

Thomas on the Go

Thomas has become quite a talker these past few months. It's hard to catch it on video because he's usually moving while he's talking! He also loves the song "If you're happy and you know it....." I'm not saying he aways gets the motions right ~ I'm just saying he loves the song! Be sure and have your volume turned up to watch this video!

Thomas the Pilot

Thomas and his dad went to the airport to check out some of the planes while I took the morning off! Thomas was pretty impressed with the Cessna 152.

Mother's Day 2007

Sam, Thomas and I were in Hereford at Grandmother and Granddaddy's house for Mother's Day this year. We had a great time! The last picture was taken on Mother's day last year. Thomas sure has changed over the past year!

Cadillac Ranch

We were in Amarillo last week and Sam wanted to drive out to see the Cadillac Ranch. I'm not sure what the point of it is ~ a bunch of old cars half buried in the West Texas dirt........... Anyway, it was a fun adventure!

Who needs a Jungle Gym??

Thomas loves climbing under our dining room chairs ~ and anything else he can fit under!
