Pep Rally ~ Petting Zoo ~ Parade

This post is a combination of some things we did last weekend, and oddly enough they all start with a "P"!
Pep Rally:
Let's see........... Can anyone spot the "PEP" in this picture? I didn't think so!
Thomas and his friend Trey thought the music was just a little loud. However, when the drill team officers did their dance Thomas kept saying, "There's Do do! Wanna go see Do do!" (FYI: Do do is his Aunt Hilary)Will liked sitting Trey's lap. Trey is an expert at smiling for the camera. Maybe my boys will learn how to smile one of these days. Sigh.

Petting Zoo:
Thomas was very interested in pointing out the "birdies" (aka: pigeon and chicken). The goats were very friendly and soft. The donkey didn't show much interest when he realized Thomas didn't have any food.Thomas loved the bunny but had to have some help from daddy in catching it. He was fast!

Parade:
The boys had a good view of all the action. I love this double stroller ~ especially when I'm on my own with them! Will loved the beads that were thrown. Not long after taking this picture I had to break the beads into 2 strands because Thomas and Will were fighting over them. Here's a pretty cute picture of Thomas and Mommy. I'm just thrilled that Thomas is looking at the camera! Like I said, maybe one of these days I'll get a smile from him!

Sideways Sleepers

Both of the boys had a really long nap (around 2 hours) today and they were actually both asleep at the same time! When I checked on them on the TV monitor I couldn't resist sneaking in and taking pictures! This is Thomas ~ sound asleep on top of his pillow. So much for a big boy bed! He's happy to return to his habit of being a strange bedfellow! If you look very closely you can see a Beanie Baby duck next to T's pillow. This is Lewis. Be watching for a post dedicated to "Lewis da Duck" ~ coming soon!
And not to be outdone, here's sweet Will. Notice the bumper pads are long gone. The kid sleeps like a wild man and quite often I find him asleep with his feet hanging out of the rails of the bed. He also naps in his undies because he always wakes up sweating like a little puppy, even with the ceiling fan on!

Fall Splash Day 2008

Thomas' pre-school had a fall splash day this year and the kids were a little chilly but it didn't stop them from having a great time!

The kiddie pool was the first stop. The next stop was the bubble station. To finish things off Thomas had a green Popsicle and he wasn't about to let any of it go to waste! Will was very interested in the Popsicle and Thomas was happy to share some of his!

And the Winner is........

JOYCE!! I though her comment "Lions, Will, not monkeys." is sooooo true, especially since the boy climbs up and on everything these days.

The "doozy of a prize"?? It's a framed picture of the boys! Thanks to everyone who left a comment or sent me an e mail. It makes me feel like all of my hard work on the blog is appreciated!

Caption Contest!

Anyone want to add a caption to this picture?? For all you lurkers out there this is the perfect opportunity to leave a comment and possibly win a prize! That's right folks, whoever comes up with the best caption (in my opinion) will win a doozy of a prize (in my opinion!) Here's a picture of the swing that the boys were on ~ Will was standing on the third "step"!

The caption contest will be open until Tuesday so let me hear from you! If you don't have a caption to contribute, just leave a comment to say hi and let us know you're out there!

Will is 1 Year Old!

Yea! Will can finally wear his 1 year shirt!
Will's "serious" expression. Here's a hint of a smile........
And here's the full blown 100% cheesy smile!!!
I had to post this picture because Will can raise one eyebrow and it reminds me of Sam when he makes that expression. Will was reaching for the camera strap and I kept moving back and he gave me that one eyebrowed look as if to say, "Excuse me, I wanted that!"
We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy baby boy. He makes us smile every day! We love you sweet Will!!

First Day of Pre-School 2008

Here's Thomas marching down the hall to his classroom. I tried to get ahead of him to get a good picture but he was walking too fast!
However, when we got there he decided to hide behind me and pretend to be shy. We know better, don't we!
I don't think Thomas is too thrilled with me leaving him, but he didn't cry or fuss. Will was checking out all of the toys on the floor.
Here' s Thomas with his teacher Ms. Kara. It's her first year at the school and I think she'll do a great job! When I picked Thomas up at 1:30 Ms. Kara said they had a good day ~ considering she spent most of her time taking six 2 year olds to the potty. Thomas didn't have any accidents! As we were leaving Ms. Kara said, "We'll see you on Friday!" Then under her breath, "If I come back!" And really, who can blame her!
