Pre-School Fall Festival 2009

Thomas and Will's Fall Festival was today and I was able to run over during my conference period and play with them for a few minutes. Thomas dressed as a football player and Will dressed as the school mascot ~ a Lion!Thomas admiring himself after getting his face painted.
A closer look of the face paint ~ notice the football on his cheek.
A quick hug for Thomas and Allie.
Crouching Tiger ~ oops, I mean Lion.
The nice lady in the pumpkin hat was telling Will that it was okay to throw the bean bags (for the Bean Bag Toss game). As you can see, he thought she was nuts! All he ever hears is "DON'T THROW TOYS" and all of the sudden it's okay? Very confusing for him.So he moved on to the tricycle races.
The giant spider made out of hay bale ~ very impressive!
Here is a partial group shot of Thomas' class. The whole gang!

The boys really seemed to enjoy the festivities. We are blessed to have such a great place to send them to pre-school!

Just Boys

Daddy and the boys took a road trip up to Frisco to stay with Luke (and Ben and Amy, too!) Looks like a fun time was had by all!Ben, Luke, Will, Thomas and Daddy tearing it up at Gatti*Land.
Will and Thomas at the controls (if I'm guessing correctly there wasn't actually any money in this machine, but don't tell the boys!)
First driving lesson......... I'm not sure it's going too well!
Off to the Air Show. Crammed in the suburban were John and Daddy (not pictured because they were in the front seat). Ben, Jack and Luke in the middle, Will and Thomas bringing up the rear. I'm not sure how Ben got so lucky to get to sit with the little boys!
Jack and John ~ looks like Jack might have needed some shades.

Touring the airplanes.
This picture is classic! Jack gazing up at the airplanes, Thomas pouting (he did NOT get this from his mommy) and Will, distracted as usual!
Playing in the back of the suburban was probably one of the best parts of the air show!
At church on Sunday there were enough pumpkins for each family to choose one. Looks like Will found a keeper.
Thomas running through the pumpkins.
And playing some form of "Tag" with Luke.
Daddy and the boys ~ don't they look handsome!
Jack's birthday party was at Love Field. Once again ~ more airplanes!

A C U Homecoming 2009

We made a quick trip to Abilene for the A C U Homecoming parade. I didn't get very many pictures, but here are a few:
Thomas showing off his first catch: a tootsie roll!Obviously he was pleased with himself!Guess what Will caught....... A sucker that was almost bigger than him!Waving at the fire truck ~ their favorite "float".
Somehow Thomas ended up with Will's sucker. But as you can see, Will didn't seem to mind!

Pumpkin Time 2009

We went to our local produce store to take the traditional "pumpkin" pictures. Here are the results: Thomas was thrilled to be standing next to the "Sligers" sign ~ can't you tell?
Will wanted to get down ~ and run around, of course!
Here's a sweet picture of the boys holding hands. Actually I think Thomas was holding onto Will so he couldn't get down!
Will loved his miniature pumpkin!
I promise I did NOT pose Thomas this way. I asked him to sit still on the pumpkins and this is the pose he struck!
And yes, I got a "hug your brother" picture!
Their favorite part was climbing on all of the pumpkins!

Fire Prevention

The local fire department visited the boy's pre-school for fire prevention last week. Daddy was able to go and snap a picture with his camera phone. Look closely: Will is in the red and white striped shirt and blue shorts on the right. And yes, he's got his finger in his nose.
Look even more closely: Thomas is in the light blue shirt and on the right, kinda behind a firefighter. And yes, he too has his finger in his nose. I'm so proud!

Will's 2nd Birthday Party

Will, Luke, Thomas and Gray eating hot dogs and chips at the big kid's table.
Will wanted to get in the empty swimming pool to play, but Cate was keeping a close guard!
Looks like he got in anyway!

Will's new Popeye shirt from DoDo.

Thomas helping mom and Will out with opening presents.

Lots of new goodies!
Will is really into tractors so we got him a John Deere cupcake cake!

Singing Happy Birthday

Will had the best seat in the yard ~ right on Paw Paw's lap!

Thomas with a little bit of icing on his nose!
Gray didn't hesitate to dig into his cupcake!

And neither did Luke!
GG helping Cate get a big bite!
Granddaddy reading Will one of his new John Deere tractor books.

We got Will a singing John Deere farm toy ~ He loved it but it is super loud and annoying!
