A Glimpse into the Future??

When Sam and Thomas went out to get the newspapers this morning this is what they saw in the next door neighbor's yard: Yes, folks, that's 10 packages of 6 rolls of toilet paper (10 x 6 = 60 rolls), 3 cans of silly string, 2 rolls of streamers, 1 box of 72 count plastic forks, 40 plastic orange plates and 1 thing of white shoe polish. How do I know the exact #'s you ask? Well, our neighbors just happened to leave town yesterday afternoon for a week and we are supposed to be watching their house. (So far, not so good!) Thomas and Will and I spent an hour this morning cleaning up the yard and in the process we found the receipt from our local Supercenter with the items listed. One item that was on the receipt that I didn't find any trace of was a package of gum. Thank goodness for small favors!!!

Will was quick to point out who he thought was the guilty party. Even though Thomas has a history with TP, I'm pretty sure he was sound asleep in his new big boy bed!

Each one of the 40 orange plates had some kind of message written on them. I think most of the messages were quotes from movies, however I'm not sure because I have only been to 3 movies since giving birth 2 1/2 years ago. The plates in this picture spelled out the neighbor's 13 year old son's name. On the handle of the forks the word "fork" was written. How clever. And time consuming.

Thomas had a great time running through the TP.
He even picked up a strand or two.
"Excuse me sir, you have some toilet paper on your shoe!"
The saddest part of the whole TP escapade is that it was wasted on a 30 something housewife and her 2 small children. The "target" (the 13 year old neighbor boy) was out of town! I'm sure when this happens to our house he will be happy to come home from college and help Thomas and Will clean up our yard!
