NASA ~ Rocket Launch (NOT!)

A rocket launch was scheduled for the same day we were at NASA so we bought tickets in hopes to see the Falcon 9 Rocket launch into space.

If you look very closely, you can see the rocket set up across the water.  We rode a bus about 15 minutes to get to the launch pad, and it was still about 5 miles away from where we were.
The building where they build and store the space shuttles.

No matter how hard we tried, it was pretty much impossible to get a picture of the boys with their eyes open.  The sun was super bright!
The original launch time was scratched due to a leak of some sort on the rocket.  We waited another hour while the launch window was open hoping to get to see it take off.  However, they decided to delay the launch until the next day.  We were disappointed!

Big smiles with the Snoopy Astronaut!
Thomas loves magnets!

We stayed at NASA as long as we could ~ getting a security guard to take our place right before they closed!

One last look…………...
