Valentine's Day 2014

Both of the boys had Valentine's parties and loved getting all of the fun goodies and Valentine's cards.

Will and some of his classmates ~

Is it obvious that this is a homemade box?
Will's best "duck" face!
Mom and her youngest Valentine!
This was the only party picture I was able to get of Thomas.  I'm afraid he might be getting to the "MOM, don't take my picture at school" phase.  Boo!
Thomas loves Mrs. Aleman
Mom and her oldest Valentine!

Our church has a Mother/Son Valentine party every other year and these are a few pictures from this year.  I love getting to spend time with the boys and getting to do fun things together.  They are growing up to be quite the gentlemen!

Thomas' Jump Rope for Heart 2014

Thomas did a great job at Jump Rope for Heart this year.  He practiced a lot after school and really improved on his jumping skills!

Thomas and his friend Mason did a great job jumping together!

Love the look of concentration on his face!

Thomas' 8th Birthday!

It's hard to believe, but Thomas is 8 years old!  We are so proud of the young man he is becoming!
Instead of cupcakes, Thomas wanted to bring a giant cookie to school to share with his friends.

Thomas and his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Guthrie

I'm so glad I work at the boy's school so I can be there to celebrate special times with them!
We had a family birthday dinner at Ci Ci's pizza and this time Thomas wanted brownie bites instead of cupcakes!
I'm pretty sure Fritz is pleased with his dessert!
Will and his "favorite baby" Fritz!

Granddaddy gave Thomas some special 1984 Olympic coins for his birthday.  He promised to take good care of them!

Love this picture of our family!

Thomas' birthday party he invited 3 friends to go to the Lego Movie and then to pizza for dinner.  We had a great time with Sydney, Molly and Sam

Pinewood Derby

Thomas participated in his first Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts.
The course was set up for the event

The boys got to test out a push car model ~ they didn't get very far!

 Will the race car driver!

Thomas painted his car green with yellow stars on the top.  He named it The Green Scooter.  Unfortunately, it never actually made it to the finish line.  We will need to do some more work on building a faster car next year!
Thomas and Dad watching the races together,
Thomas didn't come away from the competition empty handed.  He won a trophy for the Slowpoke Award.  Having a slow car actually has its advantages!

Siblings got to make a car and race it in the open division, so Will raced his car, too.  Both boys were awarded a patch for their hard work!
