Trick or Treating

This year the boys really wanted to dress as Minecraft characters for Halloween.  Despite mom telling them they wouldn't like having their faces covered, they stuck with being Steve and a Creeper!

Pumpkin Carving 2014

This year the boys took their pumpkin carving skills very seriously.  They actually got to cut into their pumpkins themselves ~ with safety knives, of course!

Haunted Forest ~ The Games

The weekend ended with a hayride and hike through the haunted forest, as well as carnival type games.  We all had a great time!

 The boys won flashing teeth in one of the games.  It's hard to tell in the pictures, but their teeth are flashing all different colors! 

 The sack race ~ both boys jumped their hearts out, but Thomas won!

 In the spider web game the boys had to throw a spider bean bag through the string web into a basket on the other side to win a prize.  This time Will was a winner!

 Pumpkin bowling ~ the object was to knock over a tower of toilet paper.  Easier said than done!

Haunted Forest ~ Archery

Next the boys had archery.  They did a good job hitting the target this time!  Thomas was first.....

 Thomas it the target 3 of the 4 times!

Will was next.....

Will also hit the target 3 of the 4 times.  Not bad for beginners!!

Haunted Forest ~ BB Guns

The Boy Scouts had a weekend campout in the Abilene State Park.  Dad was on call, so the boys and mom spent the nights at Paw Paw and Melinda's in Buffalo Gap and we drove over to join the activities during the day.  

The first activity was shooting BB guns.  The boys haven't ever shot BB guns so this was very new to them.  Will went first.......

 He wasn't able to hit the target, but he sure got into making some great concentration faces!

Thomas went next, and also came up short from hitting the target.  Luckily they weren't too discouraged!
