I was sitting on the couch this afternoon and glanced over at our Christmas tree. Then I took a closer look and noticed something unusual. Can anyone else spot what it is? Go ahead, take a guess! Whoever spots it first will win a brand new ornament, courtesy of the Stewardson boys!! Just leave a comment on this post or send me an e mail with your guess. I'll update in a day or so with the winner ~ and more pictures of our lovely tree!
Here's the guilty party ~ returning to the scene of the crime. For those of you that guessed sippy cup, you're right! And for those of you who thought it was unusual that the lower half of the tree doesn't have any ornaments............. Well, all I can say is you must not have a 2 1/2 year old and 15 month old at your house! I originally put a few down low but soon moved them out of reach of 4 little grubby hands!
Thomas took it upon himself to retrieve the sippy cup. He said, "No, no Will. No cup in tree!" Thanks, little helper!
The first person to guess right was Deana ~ be watching for the winning ornament in the mail soon! And just because I'm full in Christmas spirit EVERYONE who left a comment or emailed me also had a chance to win. I put all of the names in a sippy cup (okay, I used a mixing bowl because the cup was too small) and drew out another winner. Congrats, Margaret! I'll be sending you an ornament soon, too! Here's the guilty party ~ returning to the scene of the crime. For those of you that guessed sippy cup, you're right! ** For those of you that might see my children in the next few days please don't judge them if their clothes are dirty. Their mommy was too busy working on the blog to do laundry! Thanks!

Is that a doll of some sort on the lower center part of your tree?
~Betty
I am thinking that it is a toy drum. I love the Brooke and Tiffany ornament!
Where are all the lower ornaments?
~Misty D.
I think that there is some type of sippy cup in the tree! love, Deana
I was going to say lower ornaments, too.
Or - - is that a cup shoved in the lower portion of the tree?
Vexing.
I give up..................sorry, I wouldn't want to get them in trouble....let us hear.

Something 'sippy-ish' maybe in the bottom half and it looks like there arent many ornaments from 3ft on down...

Definitely something is suspect down there near the bottom. I can't make it out, though!
Kyle thinks you have a squirrel, guinea pig, or some sort of critter in the top right hand side. I think it's an ornament but can't figure out what it is. I'm tending to lean toward the sippy cup idea or maybe one of the boys put one of their toys there at the bottom. hmmm.... can't wait to hear the answer.
Ok, I don't know exactly what the object is, but there appears to be
some sort of toy stuck in the tree toward the center lower section.

Okay, I'm going to go back and look at the picture, but you should have seen my tree today. I went yesterday and bought the most beautiful tree topper. It's an angel hand crocheted (it's kind of freaking me out the things that are alike between our families). I was so excited about her and then this morning I come down the hall to see a pair of 2T tighty whities slung up over her head... oh the horror!
Okay, I looked again and besides the fact that all your ornaments have migrated north... I agree with everyone, there's something towards the bottom, brown and green that looks a little suspect...
I don't know but I don't have ornaments on the bottom, have about three on each branch and it now has a spider ring from Halloween and a stuffed bunny!
Did you have a sippy cup in your tree?
Nicole
Yeah, I was reading it. I think I see the sippie cup, too, but I wasn’t the first! I had checked your blog when I got home from school, left for work at Beall’s and then I get back and there is something new! Bummer! But I do look forward to seeing the new stuff! Your boys are sweeties!

Quit torturing us! Inquiring minds want to know!
I thought I'd wait at least 24 hours from when the contest began to reveal the answer! I must admit I'm enjoying all of the comments. I KNEW you were all out there and just not saying anything! All I had to do was dangle a Chritmas ornament in front of you to get you all to come out of the woodwork!
If you haven't left a comment there's still time!!!
Texas is backwards.
Don't know if this is it, but the Texas on the left side of the tree is backwards.

All of the ornaments on the bottom of the tree were removed by the boys, or that Mom decided to put all of the ornaments high up so that the boys couldn't get them. Anyway, those children are yummy!

Okay, Laura, I got your message. I wasn't sharp enough to figure it out, but you know I'm always out there.

It's good to hear from you, Dear Stalker! Will is looking forward to you teaching him on Wednesday nights!
Yahooy! I rarely "win"....Thanks, sweet Laura.
I am not well versed on many things, but I do know my sippy cups! ha!
Love, dl
Busted. One stalker here. But I love to look at those sweet boys!
And as a mother of two boys, myself - - I totally understand the ornaments being place higher on the tree! This has been our first year not to have to do that.
(Remember last year at the family reunion when my two boys went to fist city over the Escalade?) Ugh.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas Season. I'll try to post a comment more often!
