Royal Gorge Route

We went to Colorado this year for Spring Break and one of our stops was in Canon City.  We went on the train that travels through the Royal Gorge.  It was really pretty and the boys had fun seeing all of the snow on the mountains surrounding us.

A little photo shoot by the river before we loaded the train.

A view of the bridge in the waaaaay distance.

Waiting for lunch on the train.

The open air car was lots of fun ~ we got a great view of the scenery and the boys got a chance to run around and stretch their legs!

Great day for a train ride!

Will Doesn't Feel Good

Poor Will woke up Sunday morning feeling awful ~ he was running a fever (which is very unusual for him) and said his neck hurt when he swallowed.  I took him to the clinic in town and the fell right asleep in the waiting room!

Will tested positive for strep and had to miss school on Monday, but luckily he bounced back pretty quickly!

Thomas' Jump Rope for Heart 2015

It's amazing how much progress Thomas has made since learning to jump rope.  I love the look of concentration on his face as he jumps!

Love this kid and his big heart!

Will's Jump Rope for Heart 2015

Will worked really hard this year on learning new jump rope skills.  He mastered the criss cross, but only with sticking his tongue out while he jumped!

Valentine's Day 2015

Each of the boys had a little Valentine's party in their classroom.  I'm so glad that I work at the same campus as both boys so I'm able to drop by and celebrate with them!

Hot Chocolate 5K

Our family participated in our first 5K and we had a great time!  The theme was Hot Chocolate ~ what better reason to race than for chocolate!

Giant blow-up marshmallows everywhere were a nice touch!
At the starting line........

Dad and Thomas on the home stretch!
We made it to the finish line!

Thomas' 9th Birthday!

It's hard to believe, but Thomas is 9 years old!  We celebrated first with a red velvet cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes ~ his favorite!

We had to take the traditional pictures on the swing with Carl and Will!

One of my favorite pictures of Thomas at about 9 months old and now.  Same sweet face!
Birthday cupcakes with his 3rd grade classmates.
The birthday boy wanted to have supper at dinner with some special guests ~ GG
