4th of July 2008

Thomas 2006 (5 months old) Thomas 2007 (17 months old)
Thomas 2008 (2 1/2 years old)

Will 2008 (10 months old)
Getting a little push from big brother.Hold on tight!
"Go ahead, make my day!"

Here's a good picture of the boys together (I consider it good because they are both actually looking at the camera. We'll work on smiles later!)
Thomas giving Will a kiss before heading off to the tricycle.
Will was in the driver's seat first. However, they didn't get very far.Until Thomas gave him a little push around the yard.
Then Thomas decided to take over and do the driving himself ~ so he just sat on Will!
I must admit ~ it worked out pretty well!

Fun on the 4th

Sweet Will loved playing with Pa Pa's flowers.I moved him so there would be something left of the plant and he gave me this look. I don't think he wanted to be moved, do you?Thomas and Luke in their "Lifeguard" shirts. I don't think either one of them is certified! I'm not sure why Thomas was crawling. Maybe so Will would have some company.
The boys with Pa Pa and Honey watching the fireworks. Honey and Will kept each other warm.
Loaded up and ready to go home.
Thomas couldn't believe I was taking one more picture! Poor kids were worn out but they had a great time!

Sunset Cruise

We took the boat out Friday night to watch a few fireworks on the lake. Thomas really seemed to enjoy them. Will wasn't too impressed. I think he was just along for the ride!
Can you tell from the next two pictures that the boys weren't too thrilled with their life jackets?? Bottoms up! Will liked looking out the back of the boat at the water splashing!

Hammock Time

Now that Will is 10 months old it's time for Do Do to teach him "The Flip":First: Hold child upside down.
Second: Assume the "possum" position (notice Do Do and Will have the same open mouth expression).

Third: The Dismount.
Fourth: Have Josh attempt to put the child's hair back into place!

This is what hammocks are really made for ~ relaxing!

Water Slide

Will enjoyed relaxing in the pool part of the water slide before there was actually any water in it!
Sam got in the pool with the boys to get them used to the water (look closely and you'll see a certain Brown Dog lurking in the background)There's the dog again ~ but this time she has a tennis ball! Poor Martha just wanted someone to play with her!
It didn't take long for Thomas to get the splashing part down! Sam decided to get Will out of the way before Thomas headed down the slide part ~ good idea! Down he goes ~ a little cautious at first. Not for long ~ Lookout below! From the look on his face, I would guess Will thinks his older brother has lost his mind!
**Here is a full size picture of the water slide. I forgot to take a picture of it, so I "borrowed" this picture from Cousin Luke's blog. Thanks for sharing your water slide, Luke!!

Where's Will?

If Will is ever missing in our house (not that I have ever actually lost him!) the first place to look is under the end table. So far I've found the little cheese monster there every time! I think he feels somewhat safe under there ~ that is until Thomas tries to squeeze under there with him.

He's actually quite good at getting out from under the table. He uses the turned over magazine rack to help him crawl out. Note: The magazines are also used as a teething ring of sorts. Yuck! Will was in a hurry to get out because he spotted his brother's BMW! And Thomas was nowhere in sight to say "No Will, mine!" He had it all to himself for a few brief minutes.
