Great Wolf Lodge & Air Force Academy Surprise

Well, we headed home from our ski trip yesterday morning, but we didn't make it very far.  We were driving through Colorado Springs and Dad spotted the Air Force Academy on one side of the highway, and I spotted Great Wolf Lodge on the other side.  We decided to be spontaneous and surprise the boys with an overnight stay.  

I videoed their reaction when we drove up to Great Wolf Lodge.  They had their faces buried in devices and were NOT thrilled when they realized I was videoing them.  Luckily they changed their tune when dad told them we were staying! (After Thomas turned off the video he said, "Mom, I know you were just trying to make a reaction video.  And you did!")

The Air Force Academy was really neat to see ~ the boys enjoyed seeing the airplanes and walking through the chapel.

Aspen, Colorado

We spent our spring break skiing, swimming, and shopping in Aspen, Colorado.  It's always fun to get away and spend time with friends!

We spent a morning swimming in a hot springs pool with the Driskill's.  The water temperature was in the high 90's, but it sure was cold when we got out! 

We did a little wishful shopping in downtown Aspen.  We bought some souvenirs, however, we didn't buy any vehicles, no matter how much the kids wanted one.

GG's 90th Birthday

The whole family came to Brownwood to help GG celebrate her 90th birthday!  It is always fun to all get together, but especially when we get to celebrate one of our favorite people!
