I came into the living room to find a rare thing ~ both boys on the couch watching something on the iPad. No arguing, fighting, etc. Carl was impressed, too!

1st Grade Market Day
The 1st graders have been learning about buying selling, supply and demand, etc. Each child was asked to come up with an item to sell for 25 cents and make a poster to advertise their product. Will made little "friends" named Pecan People. Basically pecans with faces drawn on them and a pom pom ball glued to the top. He made about $20 with his sales!
Will with some of his customers, Cate and Eric
And of course I couldn't resist getting a picture of these two!
Cate did a great job with her sales, too!

Safety City
Ahhhhhh, a 3rd grade rite of passage........... Safety City is located in Abilene and is built lie a small town, complete with traffic signals, miniature buildings, cars, etc. The kids learn bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, and driving safety.
The day began listening to a police officer go over the rules and expectations of Safety City.
Thomas and River ~ friends since Kindergarten
Thomas, River, Quinten and Jordan waiting for their turn on the bicycles.
Off to ride around the "neighborhood"!
Pedestrian safety. The most important thing to remember before crossing the street is to do a shoulder check. Look left, then right, then left again!
Time to drive!
Notice the GoPro mounted on the dash of the miniature car!
Dad took the day off to go to Safety City with Thomas, and since I teach 3rd grade at his school I was automatically able to go. It's been such a blessing to work at the same school where the boys attend!

The Ears are Back!
Each year I wonder if I'll be able to convince the boys to let me take pictures of them in the bunny ears that Honey gave them on Thomas and Gray's first Easter. So far they've been willing to play along!
After a few silly pictures we finally got a good one! Love these 3 more than anything!
Bluebonnets
On the way home from Dallas we stopped to take a few pictures in the bluebonnets. They have been really beautiful this year!
This picture is one of my favorites ~ these are their "natural" smiles!
Will lost his balance when he was standing up and tried to convince us he was hurt, but as you can see, he couldn't keep that act up for long!
Love my boys!
Dallas Aquarium
After a fun weekend at LTC we went to headed over to the Dallas Aquarium. We saw lots of neat birds and water creatures.
We were there at feeding time and they boys got to feed the toucans by hand.
The stingrays were really beautiful ~ most of them were spotted.
The aquarium surrounded the guests. You could see the marine animals beside you as well as above you ~ the hammerhead shark was really neat to watch!
Thomas took our picture ~ a little off center, but still cute!
Checking out the penguins
Last stop ~ flamingos!
