We had a great dinner with GG at the Wild Duck Marina ~ it was a beautiful evening!

The Riverwalk

On our last day in San Antonio we got up early and took a boat ride around the Riverwalk.  It was nice to see everything when the streets weren't crowded.  In fact, there were very few people out at all!  A fun end to a great vacation!

San Antonio Zoo Animals

We were able to see all sorts of animals at the zoo.  From exotic birds, reptiles, cats, and elephants to underwater creatures.  Our last stop was probably everyone's favorite.  We were able to watch a hippo through a window.  He was almost submerged in the water and we were able to watch him open his huge mouth and eat his dinner.  Very cool!

San Antonio Zoo

After 2 fun filled days at the water park we decided to face the heat and head to the San*Antonio*Zoo.  First stop: Making smushed penny souvenirs!

Next we went to see the reptiles ~ not exactly mom's favorite part of the zoo!

Thomas was so sweet to keep a hand on Cate and Will as they looked at the fish.  Or was he trying to push them in?  Guess we'll never know!

But Cate was already there!  I'm not sure if she's so upset because she had to share the stroller or if she was just super hot and tired.  Probably both!

Rubber Duck Races

 The morning we checked out of the hotel they had Rubber Duck Races for the kiddos so took the kids down to the water park area one more time.  Cate, Will and Evan lead the way all holding hands.  It was so sweet!  Will is such a great helper with little ones, and he loves Evan!

 Each of the kids got to decorate a rubber duck any way they wanted.  The ducks all had numbers on the bottom so they would be able to identify them after the race an the kids could keep their ducks.

 I think Connor was explaining the race rules to his Uncle Codie.  Cate had to decorate her duck just right!

The ducks were loaded into a basked and dumped into the lazy river.  They floated down the river at a slow and steady pace.

Although the race only lasted about 5 minutes, it didn't take Will long to get bored!

Watching the finish line ~ none of our ducks won, but the kids had fun anyway!

S'Mores and Stargazing

After a fun day of swimming we went back down to the water park area after supper so the kids could make S'Mores.  The kids were very serious about their "smarshmallow" cooking.  I love how in the last picture it looks like Thomas's eyes are burning!

Say "S'Mores" ~ or "Cheese", whatever works!

There were several telescopes set up on the lawn and everyone got a turn at looking at Saturn, Mars, and the Moon.  It was really cool to see something so far away seem so close!

I love these pictures of Evan!  He is curious about the fountain and the closer he gets to the fountain it pushes his hat higher and higher on his head ~ but it never actually came off.  So funny!
